Creating an account on YouTube

You do not need to sign in to youtube before searching and watching videos. YouTube is a Google product, and to sign in you need a Google Account. A Google Account lets you use many YouTube features including Like, Subscribe, Watch Later, Save Favorites, etc.

YouTube on Android

1. Open the YouTube app.
2. In the top right, tap the profile picture  .
3. Tap Sign in.
4. Tap Add account .

If you're already signed in with a Google Account, but want to make a new one:

1. Open the YouTube app.
2. In the top right, tap your profile picture  .
3. Tap Switch account.
4. Tap Add account

1. Go to YouTube.
2. In the top right, click Sign in.
3. Click Create Account.
4. Choose "For myself" or To manage my business.
